{"id":174816208,"date":"2013-01-31T15:27:00","date_gmt":"2013-01-31T15:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/quotidiantruth.posterous.com\/some-days-are-better-than-others"},"modified":"2013-01-31T15:27:00","modified_gmt":"2013-01-31T15:27:00","slug":"some-days-are-better-than-others","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/adriennemichetti.com\/truth\/2013\/01\/31\/some-days-are-better-than-others\/","title":{"rendered":"Some days are better than others"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Whenever I have a bad day &#8212; not a rip-roaring shit day, but a generally bad day &#8212; I think of this track, off <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Zooropa\" target=\"_blank\">one of my favorite albums<\/a> by what&#8217;s certainly my favorite band.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/88UmKXyQ3w8\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"315\" width=\"420\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s impossible to find <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Pfm0nGiN46o\" target=\"_blank\">a version with just the album cover<\/a> on YouTube (even with my trusty VPN and logged out of Google, in an incognito window, apparently, somehow this is blocked). I chose this video version because I think it&#8217;s pretty artistic. I like that it also seems to be making a statement about self-conceptions of body image and freedom. But maybe it&#8217;s just me who sees that.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px;\">Some days are honest, some days are not&nbsp;<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px;\" \/><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px;\">Some days you&#8217;re thankful for what you&#8217;ve got&nbsp;<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px;\" \/><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px;\">Some days you wake up in the army&nbsp;<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px;\" \/><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px;\">And some days it&#8217;s the enemy<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Today was a bad day. There have been quite a few of them lately. But some days are better than others.
