How would learning look if we applied this principle to everything that had to be learned, anything that was “good for you,” but that wasn’t fun? Is it possible to apply “the fun theory” to all learning? Can we be creative enough designers to do this?

    • Both great posts, Paul. Thanks for sharing. I really do think it’s important for teachers to think of themselves as designers. If we think that way, then designing for learning to be fun really shouldn’t be too much of a stretch. I’m not sure if this needs to be the case 100% of the time, every waking minute, but I definitely think, like you said, that learning should resemble play more than it does seriousness.
